Come through from York September 2022 and the pies were so nice that we had to call in again on our next visit. Just as nice as last time and no doubt they will be the next time and the time after that. See you again soon. Cheers Nick and Angie View all feedback.
What Kevin136 doesn't like about The Ship Inn:
I have seen this pub many times while visiting Leeds, so my friends and I decided to give it a try. It was nicely tucked away and busy with drinkers. We ordered two steak pies with chips and peas. I have seen this pub many times while visiting Leeds, so my friends and I decided to give it a try. It was nicely tucked away and busy with drinkers. We ordered two steak pies with chips and peas. The food was tasty, but there were only eight chips on the plate, which made it look a bit lonely. The steak pie was served in a small dish, which filled the plate a bit more once poured out. You could order more chips for an extra £3.50, but that would work out to be less than 45p per chip, so we decided not to bother. Overall, we have tried the food here, but we will likely go somewhere else next time.
We only had drinks, but we had a lovely experience. The barmaid was friendly and helpful, and she attended to our needs without hesitation. Very reasonable prices. Will definitely visit again.
I recently visited an old-fashioned pub and was not disappointed. It was small but had a great atmosphere. The Black Sheep was good and the food was decent, especially the chunky chips. I'm glad we chose to visit this place in Leeds.
Quick efficient service, cider on tap, very spacious, had the locals vibe. Bar lady very little chat, expected more of a welcome. Ancient decor, although the back seats were comfy, it was very outdated. Overall, a steady pint and average experience. Room for improvements.
