Wouldn’t bother! Went for the special fish as I was very hungry, and my with had a standard fish. The standard was already cooked and under the lights which was fine. It looked half decent with crispy batter. The special are cooked fresh, and “special” its not. The fish is an ok size but the batter was soggy and falling off and it was literally swimming in oil. The already cooked one looked loads better. We also ordered a large chips thinking it would be enough to share, but the portion was pathetic. What you see in the pic was the special with a large chips. Joke, and wish I went up the road.

The fish Chips here are the best in Yorkshire by far. Don’t go to the big one up the road? Drop in here you won’t be disappointed.

Simply excellent. Large special small chips and mushy peas less than £8. Much cheaper than others nearby. Fish was perfectly cooked and I thoroughly enjoyed all of it. For sure I will be back. Note they close at 8 not 9 as Indicated by Trip.

We have the fish and chips and a fish cake and another fish and mushy peas most Saturdays now but my fish today was so thin I'm not sure what it was and it was tasteless. My husband's fish was beautiful and thick as it should always be. Mine could not have been haddock.

Quality fish and chips at a good price. Flavoursome fish and nice chips. Value for money. I’d recommend to anyone. Friendly staff too.
