We stopped at this restaurant for a quick lunch. We were initially unsure if the car park was for members only due to confusing signage, but once inside the Stables pub, Kirsty showed us how to enter our car registration for free parking. We ordered the vegan bhaji bap and Kirsty informed us that adding extra fries would cost £2.50, so we decided to get them. We also ordered two teas, which came in a large pot and were very refreshing after our long drive. The vegan bhaji bap and fries were both delicious, and the prices were a great deal compared to what we are used to paying in the south. We had a pleasant conversation with Kirsty and plan to return on our next trip to Leeds to try the vegan tart.
I decided to visit this restaurant because I heard that the hotel it is located in has a good reputation. Unfortunately, the food took a long time to arrive and when it did, the fries were not cooked properly. Overall, I was quite disappointed with the experience. On a positive note, the bartender was very friendly and offered me a complimentary drink.
Wanted somewhere in the area for family to meet, sit comfortably together with drinks and talk. Stables pub fitted the bill perfectly. Couldn't have chosen better.
Nice small pub, not too crowded. Great outdoor area to sit, pet friendly. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Thank you Carl for your service yesterday.
