While many appreciate its bustling atmosphere and tasty options—like the popular vegetarian sandwiches and indulgent chocolate brownies—others express disappointment with rising prices and inconsistent service. Critics highlight issues with overcooked coffee and underwhelming meal portions, which detracts from the overall experience. However, loyal patrons revel in the friendly service and quality offerings, making it a favored stop for walkers and dog owners alike. Ultimately, Muddy Boots Cafe embodies the charm and challenges of a beloved local eatery seeking to balance quality and accessibility.
I come here for convenience when on harewood walk. Theyve given me cows milk (not oat on multiple occasions (even put cream in because they thought it would taste better with cows milk cream! and tried to offer gluten free goods and pass off as vegan. There is now brown and blond vegan brownies which is amazing and the team are better now.
More vegan options on the menu than what I was expecting having contacted them beforehand. Waitress seemed unsure that beans on toast is vegan (which made me think of weatherspoons and then made me worry about the bread). My friends seemed pleased with their veggie breakfast order.
I had the misfortune to witness the most disgraceful behaviour to the public yesterday. A member of staff came out and shouted to a bloke outside taking photos of the red kites . This guy was quietly minding his own business when the staff member shouted to stop feeding them. The food had already been put out long before he arrived and everyone does this. Photographer's come from miles around to see the kites and a lot of business goes to the cafe (highly priced food by the way). The staff phoned security to remove the member of public from the whole of Harewood estate. I'm sure the bloke would have spoken to the staff member better had he come over to him instead of hurling abuse from the other side of the car park. He needs to treat his customers alot better and in the correct way. I'm sure there is a part in the will that says public can feed the redkites .
This is such a lovely little cafe, we had a great Sunday lunch after a long walk around the estate. It's dog friendly too which is good. The staff were lovely! We'll definitely go back.
Located on the edge of the beautiful Harewood House grounds. This popular little cafe serves local produce, cooked and served to perfection. If you time it right you may be lucky enough to see the red kites. Quite a treat after a good breakfast and refreshing brew.
