We had dinner at this restaurant on a busy Friday evening and we were glad we had made a reservation. The service was excellent, with plenty of staff available to assist with drink refills. The food was delicious and portions were generous. We were consistently checked on to ensure everything was satisfactory, making it difficult to find any faults. We were even offered a complimentary drink, which was a nice surprise. The total cost was £35 per person for an abundance of food and drinks, making it great value for money. We will definitely return the next time we are in Leeds.
The service at Bengal was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked in until we left, the service was top-notch. We brought our 7-month-old baby with us, and the staff made us feel so comfortable, seating us in a spacious area where we could easily accommodate the pram. They even seemed genuinely excited to see our little boy. The food arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning when we are back in Leeds. The warm welcome and excellent service truly made our night. Thank you to the entire staff at Bengal!
I highly recommend this Indian restaurant in Leeds. The meal portions were ample and reasonably priced, with mains costing around £10 (without a side dish) and starters priced at £5. The staff were attentive and willing to offer suggestions before ordering. I found the restaurant's interior to be pleasant and the atmosphere comfortable while waiting for the food.
This is the best curry house I’ve been to in the UK by a long way. Staff the owner are attentive enough without being overbearing. The amount of meat in the curries was very generous, especially for the price. Ordered 1. Chicken Achari our favourite dish which had lots of the pickle spice sourness you want from this. Breast pieces were juicy tender. Must try in my opinion. 2. Handi Gosht a less wet curry in a very thick rich tomato based gravy. Even more meat than the chicken dish above lamb was fall apart tender. Nice amount of heat to the dish too. 3. Shabji Chameli vegetarian curry with eggplant, okra cauliflower with a tomato based gravy cooked with Indian pickles. Really nice overall balance to the dish a lot of vegetables. 4. Garlic Pilau loaded with garlic which added to the other dishes, just as I like it. 5. Chapati good charring on the bread but soft not bitter at all. If you are in Leeds, it is worth eating here. If I was there any longer I’d be going back again to try some of the other dishes including the Mach Naga.
Myself and my partner booked a table at Bengal for 7pm on Friday night and we had one of the best dine in experiences ever. The staff were welcoming, friendly and extremely professional from the minute we entered the restaurant doors. We were seated instantly and checked on frequently until we were satisfied with our main course. The bill was more than reasonable considering we were well fed and had some alcoholic beverages. All staff, from waitress waiter to chefs enjoy more than the tip we and I’m sure everyone else left due to the excellent experience we endured. Myself and my partner have never been so impressed with all aspects a restaurant has to offer in a long time. Thank you Bengal for providing a memorable experience in your restaurant. We will definitely be back next time we visit Leeds.
