Diners report confusion upon entry, with a bike shop seemingly occupying half the space, detracting from the restaurant's charm. Service is inconsistent, with many customers noting delays and inattentive staff. While some dishes still capture the essence of authentic Italian cuisine, complaints about low-quality ingredients and lackluster flavors are prevalent. However, a few patrons have enjoyed their experiences, particularly during gourmet events. Overall, Casa Mia has lost its former luster, leaving many disappointed and reluctant to return.
I visited a cake stall in Otley where the cakes looked very appealing, despite the lack of prices displayed. I purchased a small frangipani tart, a puff pastry with pistachio filling, and a small pink strawberry cheesecake. The total came to £13.60, which surprised me. I hoped that the cakes would be exceptional, but unfortunately, they were quite disappointing. The frangipani tart was average, the puff pastry had an unpleasant bitter filling, and the cheesecake was thick and heavy with a soggy biscuit base. Overall, I found the quality of the cakes to be far below their high cost. I would not recommend this place at all.
This place, once popular locally, has been going downhill for years, and has now closed. Hard to believe that a once thriving business could have been ruined in the way it was. The closure was entirely expected.
Visited the stall in Wetherby today and bought 2 cannolis they were stale and tasteless, 1 saucer sized pizza which had a thick dry base a smudge of tomato purée and some tasteless cheese also a filo type pastry filled with some sort of pistachio also not good. These 4 small items cost £16 I feel ripped off! Would not recommend
We have been to casa mia for many years and loved it. This time you can see a definite change. It's now an electric bike/restaurant . Service was very good but food a let down. The boss garlic bread used to be a go to always however now it's lost its umph. Seafood and chefs choice pizza was ok but didn't stand out or have anything special like it used to. Inside looks run down and its just lost its sparkle which is a shame Possibly changed owners.
This restaurant was dull and lacking in charm, with a cold and unwelcoming atmosphere. The salads were uninspired and didn't include any seafood like prawns or calamari. The pasta dishes had no flavor, and the pizza had a dry crust with just a touch of tomato sauce.
