I recently dined at Mono Inn and for $85 a person, the five-course menu was genuinely impressive. The chef was clearly aiming high, and it showed in every dish. While it wasn't quite a Michelin star experience, it's definitely on the path to a Michelin recommendation. Worth a visit if you appreciate an ambitious menu at a reasonable price. Would I come back? Yes, looking forward to it! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere:... View all feedback.
What Audi A doesn't like about Mono Inn:
Food sucked. Fancy looking 5 course meal but lacked flavor. The combinations were off. The ingredients didn't feel that fresh either. Waiters were great but lacked attention to detail like leaving empty glasses on the table. I recently had a meal at Mono Inn, and for $85 per person, the five-course menu was truly remarkable. The chef clearly has high aspirations, and this was evident in each dish. While it may not have reached Michelin star levels, it’s certainly moving towards a Michelin recommendation. It’s definitely worth visiting if you enjoy an ambitious menu at a fair price. Would I return? Absolutely, I can't wait! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This restaurant was amazing! We happened to discover it while visiting Mono Lake from Yosemite, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip—a meal we'll always remember. Everything was delicious, innovative, and thoughtfully prepared. I would definitely love to return! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
An unexpected treat to find a menu this creative and refined in Lee Vining. The restaurant has switched to a price fixe menu since the last menu photos were posted on google. It is well worth the price, every dish was outstanding. The wagyu was melt in your mouth tender. The canapés and dessert bites were fun and delicious. Thoughtful wine list selections. The view, decor, and ambiance fit the setting perfectly. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Absolutely incredible meal! They only offer the tasting menu but were able to accommodate my vegetarian husband day-of (call first to check though, for last minute dietary restrictions). Sometimes you get expensive tasting menus and farm to table and it just doesn't taste good... but don't worry, every single bite was amazing! Unique flavor combinations, amazing and attentive service, beautiful views of Mono Lake, and a cozy vibe without any of the pretention I often associate with restaurants or this caliber. I highly recommend for any special occasion or trip to the eastern Sierra Nevadas. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
