Contribute FeedbackMy first review was in 2011 and we have visited frequently every year since. It used to be a refuge from heavy meat intensive Alpine food with a nice view. I gave it . Now this year there has been a marked upgrade and it is definitely . The restaurant has been extended onto a new part of the lakeside terrace to take full advantage of the view. There has been much attention paid recently on local lakes to a number of freshwater fish such as salmerino/arctic char and the restaurant now features several of them, imaginatively treated to compensate for their naturally rather bland taste. For carnivores there is smoked venison carapaccio and delicious pasta with rabbit. They also serve one of the best verdure alla griglia ever. Great service an historic and very genuine establishment.
Visited twice on a lunch time. Lovely location and lovely food. Super view over the lake from the piazza restaurant.
On a motorcycle trip. Stopped lakeside for an espresso. Sat on the sunny veranda. Beautiful lake, gorgeous mountains, windy roads. What could be better?
My family were renting a local villa and we went down for a chance meal. The restaurant was very busy but they made space for the 5 of us on the terrace overlooking the lake. Whilst the food was not cheap it won high praise from all 5 of us, with a good selection of dishes for each course and some excellent local fish and meats. Drinks were very reasonable. Later in the evening we sat through a spectacular thunder storm and were kindly moved a little more under cover to stay dry. We enjoyed the meal so much we returned for a last night of the holiday dinner a few days later. We give particular praise to the management and staff who made us feel extremely welcome from the start despite us not being hotel guests.
