The cappuccino was good. The chantilly cake was amazing and the waitress was kind enough to give us a huge chunk of it. The atmosphere is nice and it’s our new go-to bar for coffee and cake. View all feedback.
I highly recommend Raphael 78 to anyone visiting the great baroque city of Lecce. This year we traveled back to Salento bringing along a bunch of our claret friends. One of our must visits when in Lecce is to go to Raphael 78 for great coffee, cocktails and their delicious pastry. This year's visit was better than the last. Nico took care of us by sending out an assortment of fresh and delicious pastries and great local wine. Our friends were over the top with joy. We can't wait to be back in the Salento region and will definitely make Raphael 78 one of our must visits. If you are ever visiting Salento, make sure you take th time to tour the city of Lecce and if you do, make it a point to go and have coffee or lunch at Raphael 78...tell Nico we sent you. Tony V
We found this little place which was not far from our hotel. It was late and we were looking for somewhere to eat. We actually at there 2 nights since we liked it so much the first time we were there. The inside of the restaurant is small but there is seating outside and since we were so many people, we opted to sit outside. The first night i went i was not that hungry initially and only ordered an Aperol Spritz. One of my friends ordered the fried shrimp and calamari platter which looked delicious [see picture] Another friend ordered the shrimp risotto and since there was so much of each, i ended up getting some of both of these delicious dishes. Both were very tasty. The next night we went, I ended up ordering the frittura calamari gamberi [fried shrimp and calamari] and it was delicious. The staff was very accommodating and we would not have been happier with our waitress. I ordered the Aperol spritz again-delicious. Like with most restaurants in Italy, there is a cover charge for table service when you go with a group of people I would recommend and return.
Colazione deliziosa. Pasticcini di ottima qualità e atmosfera molto autentica.
Un po' caro rispetto al mercato dove si trova, offrendo la stessa qualità a prezzi più bassi.
We discovered Caffe Raphael 78 early on during our stay in Lecce. It was located just around the corner from our air b&b and was perfect for just kicking back for a leisurely breakfast. The staff were always helpful, friendly and even entertaining. The food options were ample and prices quite reasonable. We even stopped by one afternoon after touring for a fattening, sugary dessert!
