A lovely atmosphere, the food is good, from appetizers to first and second courses. The staff is really friendly and always smiling, especially the girl with red hair and glasses. Whether you go alone, as a couple, or in a group, it's always worth it!
We visited Caffe' Raphael because of its good renomme' regarding the classical italian Aperitivo. We was surprised about the big selection of fresh and good tasting food. The Caffe' Raphael is also a meeting place for the young local people, that there decide where to go and enjoy the Lecces movida. In the sunny area of the bar -you can also sit outside- are exposed many paintings of artists from Apulia, Italy, but also from the outside. It was during our first visit of Caffe' Raphael that me and my husband bought a painting of a local artist, Cirillo, that is now one of the most appreciated pieces of art in our house in Denmark. We naturally visited the Caffe' Raphael several times again, so that we could also try their excellent coffee/caffellatte/cappuccino, paste (a huge choise of pastry), and also their fantastic food. We recommend Caffe' Raphael to all them that want to enjoy good food in a beautiful location and with a friendly, but high standard service.
Historic bar in Lecce. I've always felt at ease there, both for business meetings and with friends.
I honestly can not understand the criticism for a historic bar in a beautiful city like Lecce. This bar has everything, perfect service, courtesy, and delicious products. Nico, the owner, speaks a delicious English. The garden is a green oasis in the heart of the city. Just perfect.
