Everything is amazing and fascinating. if you have a plan for visiting Lecce I highly recommend this restaurant.

Not directly planned but we looked at ratings and distance from where we were after having walked around Leece for sightseeing. We were close to alone in the resturant for our lunch just 1 other table was occupied. That should not be a turnoff, our experience was truly good as food and service was realy excellent. The head chef, Fabiano Viva explained the dishes like you could expect, but with an additional warm touch of history and his own childhood memories. It all made it feel so more personal and human. We decided for the larger tasting menu that took us 2.5hours to go through. Simply great choice and value for money even though it was 95 eur a person for the food. We did not take any wine pairing but one of us opted for some individually recommended wines that worked well with the food. Bottom line, we were plesantly surpised about the resturant and canI truly recommend it. I have been fortunate to have experienced various Michelin resturants over the years and I would say Duo is worty to obtain a star. Am attaching pictures of some of the dishes.

Booked before we left the UK hoping for a lovely anniversary meal, but hugely disappointed. Staff were courteous but seemed like “rabbits caught in the headlights” when we politely returned our starter of very chewy tough octopus, declining the offer of a replacement because we had little confidence in the alternative. My wife’s main course (herb crusted lamb) had a slab of gristle through both pieces so we quietly complained again and decided to leave, but when paying the bill the server seemed to have no conception of how to handle a dissatisfied customer! The bill was reduced by the cost of the starters and main course but we were still expected to pay for the wine (which we didn’t finish), bread which I’m convinced was old and stale. Plus an additional local fee of some sort. Really very, very disappointing! We will not return!

The presentation is remarkable and the level... read more Duo Restaurant is exceptional. Those who visit Lecce, or even somewhere near Lecce, owe it to themselves to visit. The presentation is remarkable and the level of imagination is almost without equality. From the Viel-Gänge-Amüse-Buche to the wonderful oyster ice cream with caviar to the many-course dessert, the dinner could not have been better. Duo vies with, and in some cases surpasses, many three stars Michelin facilities, and at a much better price. Congratulations to Fabbiano and his very attentive staff!
