Beautiful location, excellent food and friendly staff....I recommend the seafood salad and the fried fish and fried food, sublime.
I feel these folks are getting a bad rep for no reason! Hubby e I were treated by my dearest English friend for lunch at a place I 've been to several times over during the past 10+ years. First off they carry my friend 's favorite wine Domaine de la Rouviere so? Rose for comparable local wine prices. The antipasto insalata di mare was robust, enough for two as was the crudo Buffalo albeit the balls were small. Coperto is 3€/pp a bit pricey considering no bread, taralli, etc. were provided. We did get bread with the antipasto crudo once It was brought out. The spaghetti vongole/cozze was good. Not too abodandanti but the white wine sauce was delicious. Unfortunately the yellow Daterini were non existent, literally half of one in my plate and again, unfortunately , I love tomatoes! The frittura mista was a bit pricey 23 vs 14-16€ elsewhere but it was good, varied and freshly fried! I 'd recommend anyone to go and try it out. The Capo Sala, presumably owner was super attentive even if his entire family of 15 or so we 're dining with us at the same time. Only suggestion I 'd offer is to go back to golden days of vino della casa and antipasto misto (a mare o terra). 40€ is way too much for fried frozen goods e a plate of insalata di mare. It 's 15€ everywhere else but holds to a min of two orders
Honestly, a good restaurant by the sea. We ate very well there and the service was impeccable. They have a beautiful, spacious, air-conditioned room with sea views and a terrace on the beach where we ate. The prices are reasonable for the rather classy service and the quality of the dishes. A little clarification for the violeta shrimp and crayfish, they are served in single portions and raw in the starters. But it's very good.
We sat outside until the restaurant and kitchen opened shortly after 7 p.m. The decor was beautiful, both inside and out. Our kids were entertained on the beach. One of the waiters even spoke German and was super friendly. The food and drinks were also delicious. Thank you very much.
