Great music most nights and the pulled pork sandwich and soups are very good! Inexpensive too! Less than fast food restaurants! Peaceful atmosphere with good service! Everything is sparkling clean with interesting decor. Yep, I love it! I visit this place about twice a month because it's a long drive for me. They do close at 8pm so music is early, usually 6pm, kinda unusual but it fits my sleep schedule. View all feedback.
What Diane M doesn't like about Downtown Dog:
Have eaten here 2 times. Won 't be back. First time there, my husband said his hot dog wasn 't that great. My meal was okay. The second time I went in alone and had their bowl of clam chowder. It looked like an oversized ramekin. I asked her Is this the bowl? . She said yes, it has 2 scoops! It came with 4 crackers in a small plastic bowl. When a restaurant screams cheap I usually don 't go back. View all feedback.

Super cute hole in the wall in Downtown Lebanon. I walked by this captivating establishment a couple of times before I finally went in. It is charming and inviting. You will be welcomed by the chef owner when you walk in and you will instantly feel at home. Even though the kitchen wasn't totally opened yet, Teri invited us into the heat off of the cold street. She brought us drinks as we waited for her to prepare a late lunch for us. Though the menu is limited, the food is great, moderately priced, and home made hot and fresh. They have live music most nights and dinner specials on Friday and Saturday nights. The hot dogs are amazing and locally sourced with a wide range of toppings to choose from. Though he husband is eccentric, it is well worth a visit to the Downtown Dog. Oh and they offer a pay it forward service where they offer prepaid meals for those who are hungry and cant afford a meal. The downtown dog represents nonjudgement and is a hidden gem in this little town.
I had the pleasure of having lunch at Downtown Dog earlier this week. When I walked in the door I was pleasantly surprised at the welcoming, clean and nicely decorated interior. Teri was very pleasant and courteous giving us just enough time to figure out our order then delivering it in a very reasonable amount of time. The food was very good and prepared and presented nicely. Then we discovered she has music in the evenings! We'll definitely be back both for lunch or dinner and music!
If you love hot dogs, you'll LOVE Downtown Dog! If you hate hot dogs, well, go somewhere else. All beef dog, chili dog, polish dog, spicy sausage dog, chicken dog, veggie dog, and more! All come with your choice of free toppings: 6 different kinds of mustard's, relish, ketchup, jalapenos, tomatoes, sport peppers, onion, cheese, sour kraut BBQ sauce. YUM! You can also get soup chili. My favourite? Chili Cheese Dog. I've been told it's calorie free : This is going to be the perfect place coming home from the lake for a quick bite to eat!!
