The Suburban - Leavenworth

I literally love coming here when I’m in town and was so excited to bring my best friend to eat here… we get there after driving 1 hour and it’s closed… I get it life happens but it could have been announced better, like on google instead of a Facebook page I had to hunt to find. Upsetting bc I love this place sooo much. editing to respond I’m NOT from the area. Actually 7 hours away! So therefore like I said announcing it better on Google would have been lovely, and an apology instead of an insult. Looks like you’ll ruin your own business with your own attitude. I literally gave 5 stars on everything else. You lost a costumer and I’m sure whoever sees your response would be disappointed in your attitude

Unfortunately nobody came to take my order or even speak to me after the hostess Sat me at a table. Which is pretty wild since there were only 2 other seated tables that both already had their food. Hated to leave because the food has been really good on past visits but nobody comes to a restaurant to be ignored.

We had a party of 7 coming in to eat. We stopped by an hour ahead of time to make sure there wouldn't be and issue getting a table, and we were promised there wouldn't be. When we arrived for supper we were told there would be a short wait while they got the table ready, which shouldn't be an issue.They said there was only 1 table in the restaurant that could accommodate our party and it was currently occupied by 2 people that had finished a meal and were talking. After 20 minutes we left to eat somewhere else because the hostess wouldn't put other tables together to seat us or ask the twosome to move tables. Being promised seating and then watching poor table management is disappointing. I'm sure the food was good, but we'll never know since we couldn't get a table.

Was told at 355pm there would be no food as kitchen didn’t open until 4pm said that was fine. Then was told it would be loud as they had a leaf blower coming through we said that was fine but really should be taken care of before business opens. Finally seated got my drink and was still waiting on my husband’s then told they had no food to serve this evening only appetizers, salads and desserts. Very POOR service to me!!!

We used a gift certificate for our dinner tonight. It was a lovely autumn evening and the patio was perfect. My husband got the $20 steak and potato special. I got veggies and picked off his plate cuz I wanted to share carrot cake. Simply put, The Suburban has the most deliciousfood/drinks/desserts/service in all of Kansas City. That’s right, ALLLL OF K.C!!
