Pasta with meat sauce was very tasty as well as the chicken picatta. The warm bread was wonderful and the side salad was a nice accompaniment. Our waiter was on top of refills. I do think salt/ pepper and Parmesan cheese should be on all tables. If I have to ask and wait then my food is cooling off. View all feedback.
What Robin Hawkins doesn't like about Luigi's 418/mario’s Pizzeria Gelato:
The food was the worst I've ever eaten. It's to bad because the atmosphere is nice. Who ever was cooking on 8/31/2024 did a terrible job.We would never eat there again total waste of money. View all feedback.

This place is amazing. Im visiting for a short time but this restaurant became a weekly staple. Food is absolutely delicious modern take on italian. The wine and cocktails are full of flavor. The bread and oil for the table is shockingly good.
The waiter messed up my order. I ordered spaghetti with meat sauce but the plate that was brought out to me was with meatballs. My tastebuds were ready for meat sauce not meatballs. When I asked the waiter if this was meat sauce or meatballs he confirmed it was meatballs. I told him I ordered meat sauce so he pulls out his notepad and says he wrote down meatballs. I have never asked for meatballs in any Italian restaurant, if I get pasta it’s with meat sauce. I asked him if it would be a problem to change it and get me the correct dish to which he replied “I don’t know, let me check if it will be a problem.” So being the nice guy I said that’s fine I will make it work. The waiter acted like it would have been a problem to get my correct dish. I tried it and did not like the meatballs. So I ended up eating maybe a quarter of the spaghetti. Now my wife’s sampler plate was good she stated and my son’s meat lasagna was good he stated so I was the only one that was not pleased. I’m sorry, but if you tell a waiter that this was not the correct order you would think they would go fix it with no problem not tell you it might be an issue. Only in town for the weekend and reviews looked great for this place, but I was not pleased with the service. So heads up, you may want to double check with your waiter if he got the correct order before he leaves the table to put it in.
Ready? ATMOSPHERE : If you 're looking for a quiet dinner...do not expect it here. Constant flow of staff and patrons rushing by your table. With no sound buffers anywhere it 's also so loud that you have to talk loudly for your date across from you to hear you and vice versa . STAFF: Our waiter was great, if only he wasn 't stretched so thin that he didn 't have much time for us. FOOD: Table bread was really good though wasn 't offered much. Ravioli was sticky and mushy, white sauce tasted to be a country gravy watered down with a little garlic (basically oil and flour), sausage was a blender consistency (like it 'd already been chewed for us), as for the spaghetti and sauce....stay home and open a jar of ragu for $30 less. Alfredo sauce was sticky and absolutely no taste, breaded parmigiana tasted and appeared to be frozen not freshly breaded. The beer was flavorful (of course, it 's delivered), my margarita tastes like pure margarita mix from a bottle at the supermarket,, complained and second one was just alcohol with a splash of the same mix. Ask for salt and pepper (it 's not on your table) you will need it. Had very high hopes for Luigi 's but very disappointed and it only cost me $97 for 2. STRIKE OUT!! Kid-friendliness: Great place for kids but don 't expect kids prices.
Stopped by after some filming and WOW! I wouldn’t think an Italian restaurant in a smaller town would be so good. Was I wrong ? I had the Chicken Parmigiana and substituted the side with Fettuccine Alfredo. The chicken was juicy and sauce had good flavor. The fettuccine was creamy and full of flavor. My new fave Italian in Leavenworth.
