Dinner out tonight at this restaurantOrdered the chicken lomein as usualThis time it was so salty I could not eat but maybe 1/4 of the meal.
Update--tried this place again everything started out good then ROACH climbing up the wall next to me and my foodYup nope! Where to start.
Mediocre food and horrible serviceEspecially the pimple faced little jerk named johnHe's the one who looks like he man mated with a thumb.
TLDR: Roughly on a par with a mall 's food court not bad, but not spectacular Chinese food. Tried their Szechuan Chicken, Orange Tofu, and Pepper Steak. All were fine, and kudos that nothing got soggy on the trip home. The crab rangoons are a bit gloppy, but everything is reasonable and reasonably priced. Worth a visit if you 're looking for decent takeout. This place scores a 3 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale ', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come to Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come to Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come to Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus ' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come to the Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn 't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come to Nobody good. I wouldn 't have my penultimate supper here, either.
We've lived near this place for 15 years and for some reason only tried it recently. If I had checked the YELP reviews first, I probably would not have chanced it at 2.5 stars. But I notice most reviews are 2 to 5 years old! We got Moo Goo Gai Pan for pickup. Ordered it with extra vegetables and an egg roll. Everything was perfect! Food good and hot when we got back home with it. A week or so later we got the Chicken with Vietnamese Vermicelli noodles and egg rolls. The sauce was very good and the vermicelli done to perfection. The chicken was a little tough but to be fair we ordered about 30 minutes before closing. It came with shredded lettuce and fresh julienned cucumbers and carrots. The egg rolls are inconsistent. The first ones were kind of small, but thin and crisp more like a Spring Roll. We liked them so well we did an order of 4 the second time, but those were thick and overcooked. Otherwise, we enjoyed both dishes and there was a lot of food with each. The lady who gave me the orders both times was very friendly. You can order and pay on line at their web site but they use an order taking service that hits you with a $1.25 processing fee. You can call in your order and I don't think there is a fee for that.
