We went to the dinner show at the Stockman's Hall of Fame. The show was good and demonstrated some stock handling techniques. Note that there was no animal cruelty or even any coercion of the animals involved (as I expected there might be). The show was typically Aussie low key, but very informative and entertaining. The dinner was good, but fairly plain fare. It was meant to represent typical stockman's tucker. The... View all feedback.

Stayed at Longreach Camping Park which is great and just managed to get an early table at the Cattlemand Restsurant, on site. Good service and very acceptable food. Shame we had to eat in a rush, as the table was booked for another party after us. View all feedback.
The cafe served a variety of food, but we opted for coffee and afternoon tea which was fine. It also has an assortment of items to buy for tourists which were quite good quality and varied. All in all, happy to have stopped to sample...what they offered. Possibly due Covid, many coffee shops in the town closed at
The meal was good overall, basic BBQ meat, a salad and roast veggies however the show itself was quite disappointing. The day show was entertaining and enjoyable, but there was nothing particularly wow' about it. We then saw the evening show, and while slightly...different, it was similar enough and much shorter than the day show, with again no wow' in it. If I could go back, I'd save that money for something else and skip the BBQ night show. Particularly given he sings while you eat, it would be great to see the singing part come out of the night show (while he can sing, he's not really a singer) and instead, show more what he is better at demonstrate more animal management and stockman skills. He also sings about songs in the day show which mixes it up but I really wanted to see horse and other stock skills versus an amateur singer. Either that, or make the price lower so you feel you get value for your money. My recommendation if you see one show, make it the daytime one and save the cost of the BBQ night show, try the Longreach RSL for a lovely meal instead.

Booked in for the show and dinner which was great night out in Longreach. First of all a bit of serious horsemanship with some slapstick and some singing. Be sure to sit down the front as there is plenty of audience participation. Then comes course dinner of roasts and veggies followed by desert all the while being entertained by a singer (the stockman) who does everything except cook the meal.
We were picked up by Dan' the friendly bus driver...loved his stories!! The show plus dinner was excellent. Yummy roasts with all the trimmings followed by apple crumble!! Was a lovely balmy night and we enjoyed meeting other travellers while we shared dinner.
