What MeganT doesn't like about The Grove Brew House:
Update: Have had few good experiences however the last time there was not good at all. The server was dismissive and defensive when asked about gluten free that I felt little confidence in ordering and actually ended up the only one in the group not eating because of it. My previous review: They have several gluten free options, but no dedicated fryer so there are limits. Staff seem knowledgeable and able to answer q... View all feedback.

First, I want to highlight the friendly and helpful staff! Our server was fantastic in assisting me with their menu and my strict gluten-free needs as someone with Celiac Disease. She guided me through the options and made several trips to the kitchen to confirm food preparation with the chef. Unfortunately, as of March 2024, they hadn't yet installed their dedicated gluten-free fryer, and most items—like burgers—are cooked on shared surfaces that also handle gluten. The only item on the menu that was safe for those with Celiac was the chili. While it was delicious, I was disappointed to have only a bowl of chili with nothing else to accompany it. I understand that some people with Celiac might be comfortable taking more risks when dining out, but I personally felt there was too much risk involved to return. I would gladly give our server 5+ stars for her expertise and genuine effort to make me feel at ease, and I appreciated the chef's willingness to answer our many questions. I also commend the restaurant for the warning on their menu and website stating that those with Celiac must assess their own safety. However, based solely on the available options for me, I have to rate this restaurant just 1 star.
While they offered gluten-free buns and pizza dough, there were many hidden non-gluten-free ingredients. Unfortunately, our waitress did not seem to take my dietary needs seriously. I ordered the burger with a gluten-free bun and requested no mustard, as the menu indicated it was beer mustard. However, I ended up getting sick. Our supposedly friendly waitress failed to mention that the onions had been braised in beer. It felt like she had an attitude of, "If you can't eat gluten, why are you dining at a brewery?" By the way, my husband said the beer wasn’t that great, so we have no reason to return.
The restaurant offers gluten-free buns for all burgers, gluten-free pork tacos served with corn tortillas, and gluten-free pizza crust. The Caesar salad can be made gluten-free by omitting the croutons, and they also have a gluten-free Brussels sprouts appetizer. The food is fantastic!
The atmosphere is fantastic, and the gluten-free buns are delightful. They also offer gluten-free pizza, which is a nice touch. Additionally, their cocktails are excellent.
