Would you consider returning?

The bartender, Shari, was quite rude and unprofessional, clearly eager to leave... read more Last week, I visited Rumor's at 10 PM and found only two other customers there. The bartender, Shari, was quite rude and unprofessional, clearly eager to leave for a meeting with a woman. If she’s seeking a women's gathering, perhaps she should consider the YWCA or a beauty salon instead. If I wanted to be spoken to disrespectfully and experience a lack of social skills, I’d expect that from CNN or MSNBC. At least in those venues, I'd be in a more comfortable setting without having to pay for my drinks. Ironically, one of the other patrons was the bartender from Fibbers next door, who is known as one of the best in northern Illinois. If they happen to find themselves at Rumor's, I would advise them to turn around, exit, take a left, walk a few steps, and head to Fibbers, where they will be welcomed warmly, treated with respect, and served properly. Just because a business is located in a small town does not grant them the right to be rude and disrespectful. Sincerely, Jack Pots.

She was pushing to leave so she could have a woman's... read more At Rumors last week, around 10pm, only 2 other customers. Shari the bartender was rude and unprofessional. She was pushing to leave so she could have a woman's meeting! If you want to go to a ladies meeting then I suggest going to the YWCA or a beauty salon. If I accidently tuned into CNN or MSNBC, I would expect to be spoken to rudely, by people without social skills. At least I would be in a comfortable environment, and I would not be paying for my drinks!! Ironically one ne of the other customers was bartender W. from Fibbers next door. She is one of the best bartenders in Northern Illinois. If should accidently go to Rumors I would turn around, walk out the door, turn left, take about 10 steps and go to Fibbers, where you will be greeted friendly, treated with respect, and where they will bend over backwards to accommodate you. The staff is friendly, and the drinks are flavorful. I will certainly be back.
