These things happen and I would not normally write a review based on such an event, except for two things - it was the second bad experience for me here, and the way the staff reacted to my extra protein. Which was - nothing. The waitress took the offending creature and I saw her showing it to the chef, and they discussed it. After that, no apology, no offer of a free drink, not a comment when she took my (mostly uneaten) meal away. The bill, when it came, showed no reduction. My brother, who was with me, enjoyed his pizza, but said next day that it had been very salty and he had been up several times during the night needing to drink. My previous bad meal here involved an very overcooked and under-sauced spaghetti carbonara a couple of years ago, and in between I did enjoy a very good duck dish. I do have friends who eat here regularly and recommend it, but I think I will give it a miss in future. Not so much because of the lack of care that resulted in a caterpillar, but for very bad customer service.
