Had we read some of the TA reviews before we visited the first time, we would have missed out. No, the food is not 3* Michelin. But moules frites washed down with a chilled Gris de Gris, after a dip in the sea and doze in the sun, is such stuff as holidays are made on. We will return again soon.
Sitting looking out over the promenade and the beach while eating Gambas. Can't get much better! The food was fresh and delightfully prepared. The wait staff were helpful and solicitous. We returned for drinks most evenings
We've been to this place after looking for order top classed restaurants in the town. Since they were closed, we chose this one. The menu is extremely simple and yet absolutely delicious. Simple plates and lots of taste. The starter was a salad. Simple and with a top gravy, excelent! Main course was an entrecôte with cheese gravy. Tender and tasty. Finally, a fondant au chocolat, gorgeous. Service was efficient and polite. The spot is very cosy, just by the sea. The place had a nice decor. Price was very fair, 46€ for 2, starters, main dish, dessert and an excelent house wine. Only inconvenient: the place does not accept credit card. Come on, on 2013 and they still work with checks?
