Nice pub in the old town__Great ambiance in this Irish inspired pub. A waste choice of beer on tap as well on bottle. I had a steak tartare, delicious.
I absolutely love this placeThe staff is greatThey have a great selectionThe ambiance is just fantastic.
Ambiance is great, Guinness is creamy and French fries delicious! _Only wish they had bottles of ketchup opposed to the packets - blew through 10 of those
We had not been to Chez Denis for years since we had been skiing elsewhere but made a beeline for it upon returning to Chatel: we were not disappointed! The place has not changed a bit and is sill the same welcoming atmospheric rustic cabin...on the edge of the Plaine Dranse area. The food is all local with the traditional Savoie/Haute Savoie cheese dishes dominating the menu (although there are soups, sausage with cabbage, omelettes etc also My daughter had the local variant of a tartiflette (with the owner's own Abondance cheese and three of us shared a meat platter with reblochonnade (a charcoal fired oven placed on the table in which you cook reblochon cheese on mini-frying pans before pouring it onto potatoes There is also a fabulous selection of home baked pastries for desert. Wine is available by carafe and is of a very good standard. Booking in advance is very advisable. The owner is a charming man and he has the friendliest of staff. Value for money is exceptional. the only problem is trying to ski after filling yourself with the wonderful food!
Very cosy, convenient, ski-in, ski-out quick stop for mid morning coffee before the lunch service. Very accommodating owners.
