I arrived mid afternoon in Le Bugue, too late for most of the restaurants so was getting desperate for a coffee and a nibble. Glad in the end that I was too late for the other places as I was far more comfortable at Xavier Cauets. The two ladies serving were so nice and held conversation with me in my imperfect French. Ice cream? Come and test. It's a pleasure. On 10 positions, we arrived three times. Never disappointed and more with a pleasant service and view of the Vezere on the terrace.

Superb patisserie produces very high quality point rendezvous indispensable for gourmets
This is a great cafe with some of the best pastries in town. Sometimes hard to find a seat in the summer as it has such a brilliant setting overlooking the river below and being right next to the Tuesday market. Nice coffee and ice cream and friendly staff. No sign of wifi though.
