The Eatery - Lawrenceburg

We've eaten there many times, always had good food and service. Not sure if the other people are talking about the same place ? Try the meatball sandwich, nachos or chicken tenders ?

Staying at the Hyatt Place I decided to go rothe Casino to get a bite to eat and ended up here. Not sure who that very discriminatory to African Americans. If she actually listened instead of talking over your sale would get your order correct however I digress. I don’t recommend anyone go there for that experience.

I was under the impression that this celebrity chef was no longer based in New York. How can any chef possibly mess up a classic sandwich like a Reuben? The only cooking happening at this establishment seems to be dropping french fries and placing hot dogs on a gas station-style rolling hot dog cooker. The Reuben sandwich seemed to be assembled by taking pre-packaged ingredients out of a drawer, including the hoagie bun, and toasting it in a similar manner to Subway. It was then served with a packet of Thousand Island dressing. While the corned beef appeared to be of decent quality, it's unfortunate that they didn't know how to properly utilize it.

This was my first visit to the casino since Covid. The restaurant is located inside the Hollywood Casino. It operates in a cafeteria style and had a limited selection, likely due to the time of day and ongoing recovery efforts from Covid restrictions. They offered various salads and sandwiches. The staff was very friendly.

The food at this restaurant is no longer fresh. Since it shifted to its current concept, the level of customer service has declined. They seem to have only used the name of a popular Top Chef to attract customers, as there are far better dining options available (including starting at a gas station).
