Excellent cuisine and service on a quiet side street in the village of Lawrenceville. Inviting warm atmosphere on a cold winter's night. Good size portions, BYOB, and friendly accommodating staff. View all feedback.

What Janet Lang dislikes about Vidalia:
This restaurant was always one of my favorites, but disappointed me last night. The serving size of my eggplant parm, with mixed vegetables instead of pasta, was very small and the tortellini someone ordered was very salty. Our salad and bread was great, and our server was outstanding. View all feedback.

The place is quaint though very noisy, and the menu is decent. The service was slow and sloppy. This may have to do with the fact that the place was packed, still I do not expect to have to ask 4 times for additional ice for the ice bucket which arrived at the table practically empty. My salad was drenched in dressing which made it practically inedible. The pasta dished were all over sweetened. The tiramisu we had for dessert, on the other hand, was fantastic. Next time I may just order it to go and skip the rest of the meal Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

From beginning to end I really enjoyed everything I ordered, had the fried calamari and the ahi tuna with octopus salad as appetizers. Both tasted fresh and well prepared with plenty of flavor. Also had the Vidalia Onion soup which was excellent with the sweet onions. Our entrées were the short ribs over risotto and the veal saltibocco with spinach. I love a restaurant where the food tastes homemade and reminds me of how my Italian parents cook. Everything was delicious and well made. The service was good and the food came out in a timely fashion on a Saturday night. Indoor and outdoor seating were filled up but our 6pm reservation was ready upon arrival. Finally the end of my meal was completed with maybe the best creme Brulee pie I ever had. Also the owner came over to greet us and noticed we forgot to bring wine to this BYOB establishment so he shared some red wine with us. We will certainly be back to this excellent restaurant. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Octopus, Vidalia Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot

Nice little street side BYO Italian restaurant. Seating was all outdoor so it was a bit hotter than I would’ve liked for the summer. Not sure if there is indoor seating, but the outdoor seating also meant that there were occasional flies. Food seemedauthentic with homemade sauces but nothing that would make me return for.

Came here with my bff. I guess my expectations were too high. First the good part: the service was excellent, and the place is very quaint and comfortable. Now the bad: sadly the food wasn’t good. At least mine wasn’t. I had the insalata dimela/salad, which was okay. Then the shrimp Francese. The batter was soggy and greasy and the food came out just warm, it hot.The dessert, we shared, and it left a lot to be desired as well. My friend had the beetroot salad which was okay, but she didsay the Osso Buco was good.
