The Burger Stand At The Casbah

I would have given this restaurant 5 stars if they hadn't forgotten the sauce for my Patty Melt. I had to settle for 4 stars. However, don't let this one mistake deter you from trying this place. It's awesome.

I decided to eat at Dempsey's because the Burger Stand was closed on Monday and I was really craving a burger before a concert I was attending. Fortunately, I came across Dempsey's and was able to satisfy my burger craving.

I have been coming to this restaurant, as well as their sister location in Topeka, for years and have never had a negative experience. The food and service are consistently excellent. We had a pleasant experience at this restaurant, especially with the Garbo Black Bean burger. Although we found the vegan buns to be a bit dry, the Black Bean burger topped with great salsa was our favorite. The Garbo burger was a bit mushy on a hard bun, but still enjoyable. The basket of fries we ordered was massive, so it is definitely shareable. However, it was disappointing to learn that the polenta fries and spicy shiitake mushroom dish both contain cheese.
