Morningstar's New York Pizza - Lawrence

The manicotti was fantastic, as were the meatballs. The garlic bread stayed soft even after being toasted, and the marinara was perfect for dipping. The service is always exceptional. Highly recommended! Their New York-style pizza is the best in town.

I ordered three slices - plain, pepperoni, and Sicilian - all cooked well-done. The dough and sauce leaned towards the sweeter side, with the regular slices being slightly oily but still tasty with a nice crisp. The standout was the Sicilian slice, which had a perfect balance of cheese, sauce, and dough with a strong crisp. The prices were reasonable for the size of the slices, and the staff was very friendly. It's rare to find authentic NY pizza in Kansas, let alone Lawrence, but this place definitely delivered!

We had a great experience with the lasagna and pizza during our first visit. However, during our second visit, the pizza lacked sauce and cheese and the crust was overly crunchy. It seems to vary depending on the cook that day.

I ordered the Rigs and Ravs with a meatball for pick up. The staff could not be more welcoming and friendly. The chow was delicious. The meatball? Well I’ve been making meatballs for my family for decades and I really want to know their secret!! Freaking awesome!!

**** about this place the pizza in NY style. but is better than that. Neapolitan pizza, delicious, thin and a decent size for the small. veggie.
