Excellent small cafe/bakery with a kitchen too! Delicious coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and pastries. The Caneles are my fave! I really need to try the lunch menu soon.Food: 5/5 View all feedback.
What james doesn't like about Cellar Door:
Girlfriend and I had been excited to try this place for a while. We finally gave it a shot. Ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches and 2 drinks. Total came to $37 after the mandatory 20% gratuity. 20% tip to have to pour my own water. While the food and drinks were good, it’s massively over priced and the forced tip is ridiculous for the amount of service you’re paying for. Glad we got to try it, but at $37 for a small break... Amazing eating, great vegan options, nice people! I just wish her hours were not so limited. it seems as if every time I go to order from here, they are closed from some reason. ?
My friend took the vegetarian fried chicken, and some baked from here for my birthday dinner and everything was absolutely divine! I love the amount of Veggie options that are offered.
The food we ordered was yummy and the service was wonderful!!
I tried this restaurant for the first time and had their bacon, egg, and cheese bagel with a mocha. They also had vegan options for my friend, and I picked up some baked goodies to enjoy later. I will definitely be returning! Dietary restrictions: Vegan options available.
Cellar Door is a hidden gem that is definitely worth visiting. The food, pastries, and coffee are all top-notch, and you can taste the high quality in every bite. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff is very friendly. There is truly no other place in Lawrence quite like Cellar Door, except maybe its sister cafe, Decade.
