I had a fantastic meal! The special dish, wild mushroom and truffle risotto, was the best thing I've ever tasted, and I've tried many dishes at top restaurants. Every meal was of the highest quality, and, as always, the service was excellent. Thank you! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Six Bells:
Sunday dinners can be a disappointment compared to what the appealing ALC menu suggests. Several dishes are not as described, and I wouldn’t recommend the place to others. It's a shame. View all feedback.
A lovely and welcoming pub. We were there with visiting family and had a delicious Sunday lunch, which was good value for money. The service was good and there was a good choice other than the traditional Sunday lunch. It was a warm and cosy ambience for a winters day, making the meal very enjoyable.
Once again, an excellent meal at the Six Bells. Looking forward to another return visit.
Lovely Sunday lunch with family including a toddler. The waitress (Victoria looked after us really well, and the Sunday roast was great, especially with the special cauliflower cheese. Oh, and the black bullace ice cream with the treacle tart is a winner. As a bonus, the bar area is dog friendly, and on Sunday there was a lovely Spinone which (in moderation, ie we moderated it so as not to bother the dog and its owners! kept the toddler amused.
Third visit and again loved it! Excellent menu with a lot of locally sourced ingredients. Very imaginative menu. Oysters to start, that were excellent. Could not fault anything. Food great, Drinks great, staff great. A real favourite venue! Thanks to you all!
The Six Bells is a lovely warm and cosy restaurant in a old beamed pub. The food is excellent with a good choice and local ingredients. It is good value for the standard of cuisine. It is a great place to go just for an evening out or a special occaision.
