We did not expect to have an awesome dining experience at first, as this brasserie is located at a busy street in Lavelanet. The food is really delicious, fresh and regional. The price is very reasonable for the quality and the stuff very hospitable, making...sure you feel right at home. We will return for sure! View all feedback.
Beautiful restaurant, very friendly service and excellent eating. I was impressed by the makulle de cannard: very delicate and tasty. I recommend it without doubt.
The place is very beautiful, in what does not place a restaurant first, probably in the reception hall of an old theater (high ornate decke). incredible service: the most smiling and fast ladies tears around, and chat while water and brot on your...table before they realize that it could be low. super good homemade food, delicious, fresh, beautiful presented. good stop!
The location is not too promising however the food and the service are both excellent, we ate at Le Theatre twice during our stay in Lavelanet and on both occasions the food was interesting and served with a smile as well as being very reasonably...priced. Also as very poor speakers of French we not made to feel uncomfortable in any way.
I was there a few times for having a Café au lait in the morning - combined with some Croissants from the close by bakery from Christian Recoules a yummy breakfast! Service always was very friendly.
This rather unprepossessing brasserie cares deeply about its food, its atmosphere, and its service. Admittedly, their attention when the six of us arrived already predisposed me towards them. Then, with our aperitifs, we were given a tiny taste of a beet gazpacho. Heaven. The formule for the three course dinner was a great price -- 19.60 -- and WHAT deliciousness awaited. We had entrees of chevre chaud salad and a wonderful ceviche. Our mains were a local special (Rousole, I think it was) and a fabulous fish with vegetables, And then fabulous dessert -- salted caramel chocolate, a gratin fruit dish, and for me the local cheese. YUM. Also the suggested rose was perfect, as were our aperitifs. This is a truly wonderful place; I would happily return
