Sato & Chan - Laval
Sato & Chan
Description
Sato Chang underwent a disappointing rebranding that left previous regulars dissatisfied. Complaints included rude staff, long delivery times, and lackluster food quality. However, some positive feedback did surface, praising the friendly service, wide sushi selection, and the ability to bring your own wine. Dishes like salmon tartar and dessert sushi were highlights. Despite some inconsistencies and pricing critiques, the restaurant appealed to sushi enthusiasts and non-sushi fans alike with its diverse menu. The chic interior and attentive service added to the overall dining experience, making it a notable spot in Montreal/Laval for various Asian cuisine options.

Worst Chinese food ever. Not fresh and not tasty at all. We miss Sato and Chan that was good food. I should have read the comments before I went. What a waste of money.
Everything is good, the sushi are very good but the service is not their strong point!Make all at the first service because if you recommend again, you will have time to lose appetite before receiving your dishes...I will return to it anyway because the value for money is worth it and we bring our wine!
This is one of the rare byow and all you can eat sushi restaurants in the Montreal area and I would say it is good. It won't be the best sushi you've ever had in your life but it probably won't be the worst. You get everything from soups, salads, sushi, pad Thai, general tao, etc and as much as you can eat. This makes it a great place to go with your hungry friends to have some unlimited food and enjoy the wine you brought along for the evening. I would go back to sample everything on the menu lol
I am a regular at the Kirkland restaurant. I tried the Laval restaurant for lunch. The portions of sushi are half the portions served at the Kirkland restaurant. The seaweed salad was so small that they served it in the same bowl size as the one for the ginger served with sushi. I will not go back to this restaurant.
So it was my first time going to this resaturant with family. Wanted to try something new. The food is ok. Some items are good some we didnt care for. The shrimp toast, pad thai was good. The sushi...i wouldnt go there for sushi. Really didnt like it. Service isnt good to be honest. There was only maybe one server that actually smiled and was pleasant.
