We were looking for a Greek restaurant we had not visited and finally visited Ola Kala in Laval. We reserved and were met promptly by the nice staff and seated right away. We looked over the menu and decided on their famous 'Spasti' chicken ( a marinated on the grill ) and we did not go wrong, it was out of this world ! What User doesn't like about Ola Kala:
Don't want to be totally negative...our waitress was great. We ordered the fried calamari as appetizers , they were served with store bought red sauce ...very disappointing. It would be so easy to prepare a simple house marinara. We each had a doner pita dish with greek salad and oven potatoes. Food is good grilled chicken is excellent. They also make a very good pita gyro. Would give a higher rating if they accepted credit cards or debit cards. Upgraded a star as they now accept credit cards.
This is a gem that i was not aware of. I have lived in St Dorothee for many years and have never thought to stop by this small restaurant.Food was incredibly delicious and filling. The fries have a unique flare and do not taste like the other multitude of Greek restaurants. Service was super, polite and respectful service staff.I would recommend.
Huge portions at a great price and most importantly of all, everything is simply delicious.Cozy atmosphere with friendly staff. My #1 go to restaurant for Greek food.
Atmosphere and people are amazing. Food is ok, Greektown is better (but it's a matter of taste, therefore, I still score them 4 star for that) but ola kala has quicker service. By A LOT !! The problem is ... It's SO expensive. With 70$ (tax in), 6 people eat from Greektown and we were full. For 4 people at Ola Kala, the bill was over 100$ with tip (same plates of food, MINUS 2 orders for the 2 less people)
Do you even have a phone ? Tried calling 50 times in the last months and no one ever answers. Regardless, food is amazing !
