Was Gilles d at Au Coq a mag?
The cashier was very friendly, and the restaurant has a pleasant and clean atmosphere. However, the food did not meet my expectations; everything tasted similar, and even the sauce couldn't improve it. The prices seem a bit too high for what was offered. View all feedback.

What J dislikes about Au Coq:

Wrap was good, but it should not take more than 30 minutes to get a wrap out when theres almost no one in the restaurant

When you order by mistake for the hour and you call and you tell them can you cancel the order and they say yes 2 min later they call back to say it’s not possible. It’s kind of nonesense they call me to say cancel it through Uber so I get charged for an order They didn’t do yet. Before you say I don’t know the systeme of Uber how it works, I run 4 franchise restaurant I know exactly how Uber works on the restaurant side. You are just greedy and know nothing about custommer service. I don’t like writing a bad review about a restaurant because of the hard time we having about staff and hard custommer etc… but my request was simple cancel the order I’ll be home around 6 and I’ll order after. It’s the fact you say yes I’ll cancel and you don’t do it, I find it greedy and believe me it’s not the 40$ that bothers me it’s the principe that you didn’t have the gut to say no I won’t cancel.

The food is good, but what’s the point of having an online order pickup option if I still have to wait 10 to 20 minutes every time I arrive?

Tonight, we decided to indulge in our usual Tuesday night chicken dinner. We placed our order for two chef's choices and one hot chicken with white meat, only to find that the price had skyrocketed to $39.95 with tax. We live just five minutes away, but when we arrived home and opened our dinners, we discovered we had received the wrong order: one order of filets, one order of nuggets, and one order of wraps. We promptly returned to Au Coq to inform them about the mistake. The staff member quickly retrieved our correct order at 6:32 PM, although the ticket indicated it had been ready by 6:01 PM. Unfortunately, by the time we got home, the food was cold. The coleslaw was inedible and ended up in the trash as it had turned into a thick, creamy mush. Regrettably, after this experience, we’ve decided that our next chicken dinner will be from the nearby St. Hubert instead. We're extremely disappointed, especially given the significant price increase for such low-quality food. It no longer feels like a special treat!

I am extremely disappointed with Au Coq in Laval (Cartier). I placed my order at 5:22 PM, and I've been waiting for hours without any delivery (it's now 7:00 PM). Their online service is severely lacking in efficiency and reliability. I strongly advise against using it. It's unacceptable for a restaurant to disregard customers' time like this. It’s better to order from somewhere else or use a different method if you really want to eat here. What a letdown!

I've been ordering from this restaurant for years and everything used to be fine. However, for the past month or two, my orders have regularly taken over 1.5 hours to arrive, and they often come cold. I'm very disappointed.

I'm updating my review because the service has become excessively slow. I called ahead for a pickup order and still ended up waiting nearly 30 minutes at the restaurant. I could understand if it were busy, but there were hardly any customers, and it was evident that the staff was taking their time. My last two visits have been disappointing, so I won't be returning.
