Skibar Schreinerei - Lauterbrunnen

A charming place to take a break whilst skiing. It’s a self service place with nice personnel and nice food. Don’t forget to leave some space for home made deserts. As far as prices, same expensive as anywhere in the Swiss mountains.

Visited this with a tour group from Great Rail Journeys on 15/02/2019. I was apprehensive after reading previous reviews on here, mainly about being over crowded. Nothing could have been further from the truth, plenty of room to move about, the trick is to have a drink, let the crowd go and then start the tour. Lindt chocolate shop is reasonably priced for Switzerland and well worth a visit. Take the lift up to the viewing platform, no camera, no phone and no description by me can describe the views on a superbly clear day where we could see France, Italy, Germany and of course Switzerland. From me it’s 10/10.

.......altitude sickness is optional. Beware, at this height you may well feel a bit queasy but the views,experiance and overall ambiance of the place makes it a 'must visit ' location if you are staying in this area.

Die Aussicht ist atemberaubend, der Eispalast ist wunderschön gestaltet und sehr interessant. Die Zugfahrt ist beeindruckend, wenn man bedenkt, dass alles von Hand gemacht wurde.

Wir sind mit der Bahn auf das Jungfraujoch gefahren und waren einige der wenigen Deutschen zwischen all den Asiaten. Oben angekommen war die Luft dünn, aber die Aussicht einfach atemberaubend. Besonders beeindruckt waren wir vom Eispalast und der Aussichtsplattform.
