There are many Chinese restaurants in Lausanne. Being maried to an Hongkongese woman, I 've tried all of them many times. This one comes on top by far for many reasons: The new manager is Chinese but his last restaurant was in Paris, giving him that typical high standard of cuisine from the big cities. The restaurant overlooks the plaza downstairs and the lake in the background, creating a very peaceful atmosphere inside. There is a very creative chef on board (I always thought the Chinese restaurants were quite similar in Lausanne until I discovered this one: experience classics as well as absolute original new fantastic flavors ... The way the chef manages the spices is unique (and artistic! : it 's not too hot , it 's tasty (try for instance the imperial chicken which represents well what I mean ... You also feel that there is a lot of work in your dish... Note: if you are Chinese, you must go there as most of your favorite local meals are in the menu (I heard dim sum will also be served soon . Great typical formulas are there: buffet at lunchtime from monday to friday, hot pot, etc. The staff is nice. A detail: you may ask yourself where you are when you meet the manager for the 1st time, as he is wearing street style clothes, but you quickly notice that he is very warm and that he just priviledges the family atmosphere. I attach pictures of the menu (it was more easy for me that way, the meals look the same in reality anyway . Enjoy!
The situation of the restaurant is not the best one probably but you should try their food!!!!! It's absolutely amazing and a bit special, not a regular Chinese restaurant as we have here. Our waiter was just fab and we had a great time if you like fish pleases try la choucroutte de poisson, you will not regret it
We went there because they said they have a dim sum card....lie the chef wasnt there so no dim sum ...we ordered a fish it wasnt coocked then the rice was cold because they took the fish back to cook it again because it was raw... then the fish arrived cold the sauce was digusting with a lot of glutamate maizena tasting...never go there its not fresh and served cold not coocked well and very expensive for nothing baddest chinese restaurant ever.
We went on Sunday for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the homemade DimSum (on Saturday and Sunday lunchtime). Fresh made 油条 and 豆浆. Make sure to try the 烧卖 , 叉烧包 and the 鱼丸。My Chinese wife and I absolutely loved it. There is a new owner since October 2018 and obviously they do a great job. Very friendly and accommodating. Prices are very reasonable. Ask for the menu with the real Chinese food. Ignore the sweet and sour chicken, spring rolls etc. and try the real authentic Chinese cuisine.!!!!! If we would live in the area we would definitely be regular customers.
