The woman behind the count... read more The diner is not to be overlooked. It's small, but it features one of the best server and chef combinations I've experienced in ages. The woman behind the counter really embodies the essence of a mom—I'll call her Chef Momma. She made me a chef salad that was absolutely worth it; honestly, it was one of the best salads I've had in years. Not everyone can make a salad that good—she really put her heart into it, and it showed. Curious about other offerings, I also ordered the Reuben. Typically, I’m not a fan of Reubens, as they serve as my benchmark for any diner or dive. The charming waitress recommended onion rings, and I decided to give them a try. Chef Momma must have run home to whip up my sandwich because you could feel the love put into it. She truly is the Reuben Queen! This is quite possibly the best Reuben I’ve ever tasted. In short, Dudley’s Corner isn’t your average truck stop; it’s a community gathering place and a spot for home-cooked meals, run by someone who clearly loves what she does—and it shows in every bite. Oh, and don’t forget to tip that hardworking waitress generously; she’s always flipping tables with a smile!
