Briars Hall - Lathom
Briars Hall
Description
Nestled in a picturesque setting, this restaurant offers both charm and shortcomings. While the atmosphere captivates, many guests report inconsistencies in cleanliness and room upkeep. The dining experience, although occasionally hampered by limited menu choices and unremarkable dishes, is often redeemed by the exceptional attentiveness of the staff. Celebrations like weddings receive high praise, highlighting the team’s dedication to service and overall guest satisfaction. Diners can enjoy a delightful experience, especially during family gatherings, though improvements in the culinary offerings and ambiance would elevate the experience. Overall, it remains a venue of mixed but largely positive impressions.

Beautiful old stately house hotel with wooden panelling and nice old features mixed with some modern touches. Rooms are a good size and comfortable. Bathrooms a good size, nice showers and very large baths. Grounds are stunning and views from the rooms are lovely. Very quiet at night. Large bar, lovely restaurant and really good food. Breakfast is really good with hot and cold, large choice too. Lovely place to stay. They do weddings and other events. Came for evening meal. Excellent service, food was first class. Ordered soup to start and then battered fish chips for main course. The soup was delicious and coupled with a warm roll nice touch). Main course fish was encased in a light and tasty batter with chunky chips. Prices in line with the calibre of the venue. 2 pints, large wine, starter and main course £31) I do recommend and I will be back to try some more. Service: 5
