The culinary school restaurant offers a wonderful Indian buffet, excellent service, and a small dining room not ideal for children. The food is affordable and outstanding, with friendly staff and professional service. School students practice their skills under supervision, offering a unique dining experience. Lunch service was slow but with delicious food, while the dinner experience was perfect with large portions and friendly service. We were 30 ladies for lunch for the Indian buffet. The offerings were wonderful: from soup to papa-dams, to steamed salmon, lamb, shrimps, and barfi and saffron ice cream. The service was excellent and given it's at a culinary school, the students were well supervised.I would gladly return again. The parking is restricted on the Raymond, but there is parking at the back of the school at the resto entrance side. The dining-room is quite small and not really kiddie-friendly.There is a small store with frozen and prepared foods, adjacent to the resto.
This is a school of culinary arts. Students come from all over the world to attend with a particular concentration of Chinese students. Here students are taught to cook cuisine and pastry, serve at tables. Other courses include retail butchery, wine tasting and bread making. Our purpose for going there, however, was to take part in one of many dinners that the school offers in order to train future chefs, waiters, pastry makers etc. This was a 5 course meal. The first service was Grilled zucchini
Been going to this place for years for a culinary supper treat where time was never a factor so we decided to try it for lunch which was a whole different kettle of fish.Got there at 11;45,at 12;30 we got a small spoonfull of a flavored melon,at 1;pm i got something called a deconstructed shrimp cocktail which consisted of 2 shrimp on some gelatinous cocktail sauce,by 2;pm we got our main course which in my case was a very stingy piece of Hake, 3 bites and it was gone,2;30 i got my desert with a coffee also very small portion of something that was supposed to be a chocolate sponge cake,we finally got out of there by 3pm.While everything tasted great it was like torture being very hungry and having to wait that long for the food, i left the place starving and stopped by MacDonalds on my way home.I'll definitely be back to this little gem but at supper time not lunch time.

The ambiance is surprisingly classy given that it's located within a school, though I felt somewhat underdressed in jeans, a hoodie, and skater shoes. Now, onto the food! The menu had something for everyone, but it's not ideal for picky eaters as the options lean towards the gourmet side. For adventurous eaters, there are quite a few interesting choices, but if you're more of a steak and potatoes person, you might want to think twice. I really enjoyed my selections. For the starter, I chose the asparagus soup, which had a perfect creamy consistency and paired beautifully with parmesan—no salt or pepper needed, it was simply perfect. For my main course, I had the stuffed Cornish hen. While it was delicious, I did have a couple of critiques. The skin was perfectly salted and wrapped in crispy prosciutto, and the hen itself was wonderfully juicy. However, I felt the stuffing could have been better, and the polenta, while well-made, isn't my favorite dish. The crispy fried salted rapini that accompanied it was a hit, so it was a solid dish overall. For dessert, I opted for the cheese platter since I don’t have much of a sweet tooth. It took a while to arrive (I think they might have forgotten about it), but it was quite enjoyable when it finally came. The cheese choices were great, and while the portions were small, they were acceptable for the price. Unfortunately, the biscotti and oat cookie were unappetizing and poorly conceived—something simple like a regular cracker and a couple of grapes would have been much better. As for service, as noted in their menu, it wasn't stellar. The staff was friendly and sweet, but our lunch stretched over two hours, which is tough for healthcare professionals like us who have busy schedules. I plan to return when I can afford to take my time for lunch or dinner. Throughout the meal, there were a few noticeable missteps by the serving staff that anyone with industry experience might find amusing. I bring this up because the culinary school aims to provide a fine dining experience, and they still have some work to do in that regard. Additionally, the loud, overzealous chef barking orders from the kitchen added a bit of stress to the overall experience, which contributed to my decision to take off a star. However, I believe that this star can be earned back during a future visit. There’s a comment card at every table, and I made sure to leave feedback, suggesting that the chef could tone it down a bit. Overall, I look forward to exploring different menus at this hidden gem in LaSalle. I'm very grateful to my friend Chris for introducing me to this affordable spot!
