I have been going to the same 10 restaurants for the past decade and Chez Ping is 1 of them! I order #28 Seafood salt and pepper dish and a newly suggested beef and pumpkin oh my goodness dish. i used to order from the ville Emard location as it was far from me in Lachine but now that they have a 2nd location in Lasalle i usually just go during the week and get their 15% weekday discount. I have ordered from this restaurant for several years and usually had good quality. This evening however was different. Ordered the usual for take out , chicken soo Guy,signapore noodles and chow mein. Soo Guy dish was left over crumbs with little chicken. I was some what dissappointed for usually it is good. I'm not a Chinese restaurant nut but I tagged along with my wife to this place in Lasalle (Montreal). I must say that I was surprised. Great variety of food that goes around tables to serve you and if not, they also have a separate a la carte menu. I opted for the menu. The food was good, very generous plate and below $15. all the tea you can drink. I didn't see any coffee being served. In all, a great place to eat and different from Chinese Buffet.
Very good dim sum and they also have an a la carte menu for those who do not like dim sum. Service was excellent and the girls with carts were coming often. Good choice of items.

If you love authentic asian food (esp. dim sum), it's worth the detour. Average-side restaurant in a rather regular mall and very simple outside entrance, but inside it's quite nice, ... and the best authentic Chinese food we've eaten yet, easily rivals the best places in Chinatown or Brossard. No wonder it's always packed with asians (we're white ;)). We're fanatics of dim dum, and this has become our favorite place. Low-salt, low-oil, and full of flavour and aromas. Very friendly personnel & waiters.
