Yard House - Las Vegas

This review is for the walk-up window at Linq Promenade. There was hardly ever a line, no matter the time of day, while everywhere else was crowded. The bartenders were very friendly and efficient. Prices for large drafts were reasonable, especially considering it's Las Vegas.

The server was very pleasant, which is why I gave one star. However, we waited over an hour just for our appetizers (two dips). By the time they finally arrived, we were starving and ready to dig in. Just as I was about to take a bite, my friend spotted a thick black hair cooked into the cheese. This really did not set a good tone for the rest of the visit. We returned the dip, and about 30 minutes later, our main courses arrived. They were quite underwhelming, with the vampire tacos being the only dish that was considered "good." Surprisingly, the offensive dip was removed from the bill, but management didn’t offer any further compensation for the inconvenience. While I expected a bit more in terms of resolution, our group isn’t one to complain further; we just wanted to leave.

This place was awesome. Most of the food I had out in Vegas was mediocre at best, but this place seasoned their food just right, had good portions, and the prices were reasonable. The nion rings we had for appetizer were huge. I definitely recommend the steak bowl, the steak with noodles, and the Thai pork chop dinner. The passion fruit seltzer was a great nonalcoholic drink. For the dessert, we had the Brulee cheesecake. Delicious!

I stopped by after visiting the High Roller, hoping for a quick lunch. My server, Angie, was attentive, polite, and always cheerful. I ordered a beer and fish tacos. Angie returned twice to see how I was doing, and each time she brought kind words and a warm smile.

Lots of gluten free options for my daughter and the burgers and steaks were amazing. Also lots of different local IPA beers. Highly recommend especially if someone in your family is gluten free. Also excellent service from Kenny
