Hi, I went two weeks ago to see how this Mexican was, because he's supposed to be the best in town and I'm gonna say he didn't get me much. The food is very mediocre. a lot of fritanga loaded with oil and what we asked was the incoming mix and some chicken fajitas (which I didn't see anywhere because it was like crushed in a strange mass) were loaded only with melted cheese. We all knew the same thing. desserts are also expensive for what they put you. We ordered some drinks and there were three very fine cakes fries and sweets with some ice cream and also a crep sausage with lots of sweet milk and another bag of ice cream. I don't think it's repeated since in terms of quality/price, it's not worth it.

Me gusta muchísimo la comida mexicana y como cocinillas la practico y la disfruto bastante. Por eso me extrañaba que en una ciudad como Las Palmas G.C, que cuenta con un amplio abanico de posibilidades gastronómicas internacionales, no hubiera un restaurante mexicano en condiciones. Gracias a recomendaciones de amigos, que siempre eran buenas, me decidí por probar el México Tex y tengo que admitir que salí bastante satisfecha. De entrantes nos decidimos por un combotex, una fuente que traía un poco de todo: sincronizadas de queso y jamón, palitos de queso, jalapeños, nachos con queso, guacamole y taquitos de pollo. Recomendable para los indecisos que no saben qué pedir... De plato principal y como nos habíamos quedado muy bien con el combotex, pedimos unas fajitas de pollo para compartir. Te la sirven en una fuente caliente con la carne en tiras, con cebolla y pimiento rojo, acompañado con arroz, queso fundido y una crema de frijoles. Las tortitas te las sirven aparte y así te preparas la fajita a tu gusto. Estaban bastante buenas, pero eché en falta un poquito más de salsa. Mientras cenábamos vimos cómo servían a una pareja frente a nosotros una fuente similar, el alambre de carne, que desprendía un olor espectacular. Para la próxima... Dejamos algo de hueco en el estómago para los postres, en este caso fueron los buñuelos de caramelo con helado. Teniendo en la cabeza la imagen redonda de los buñuelos, nos quedamos bastante sorprendidos cuando nos sirvieron una especie de triángulos de hojaldre fritos con caramelo y helado de vainilla. ¡Muy ricos! Recomendable la visita al México Tex. Si bien no será el mejor restaurante mexicano que habrás probado en tu vida (de momento este lugar lo ocupa para mí La Panza es Primero en Madrid), es el mejor que te puedes encontrar en la ciudad y a un precio bastante razonable.

Puedo decir con certeza que el mejor restaurante mexicano de Las Palmas es el México Tex. Sus empleados son súper amables, la decoración es típicamente mexicana y el ambiente (música incluida) te transporta al país sudamericano. Todos los platos son exquisitos y mis recomendaciones son los taquitos de puerco como entrante y la chimichanga de ternera como plato principal. Como colofón, hace unos margaritas de muerte.
