we start positiw: pizza tasted good and the greeting was very warm, but the service was strongly differentiated. never experienced a pizza place where I had to wait 80 minutes for our pizza. if the place was full, I would have understood, but only 4 tables were occupied. the young who served us spoke 0 words of English to be exact, and if we asked if we wait a drink after 1 hour, he brought a teller obst View all feedback.
The owners greeted us warmly assured us they could make a vegan or vegetarian meal even during the power outage in town--and they did! (And the power came back on... Veggie options include pasta with fresh tomato sauce and basil, pasta with garlic and oil, veggie pizza, home made ravioli stuffed with spinach or a variety of cheeses , mixed salad . The house red, a Sangiovese, was a good complement to our generous serving of Ravioli. The Residence is also a B B with comfortable looking cabinas, and I've heard, a great breakfast. Las Lajas is a good rest stop for travelers on the Interamerican highway, about an hour from David. We came from the highlands of Panamá (Cerro Punta and found Ciao, Ciao on the main road leading to Las Lajas town and the famous wide beach, 5 minutes drive from the highway entrance. There is a big sign in front of the property.
