Belcampos burgers are second to none in Marin. Super partial to their lamb burger and their regular grass fed is it expensive, yes, but it's so so so good! They pay special attention to seasonings in their Pattie's all of the veggies are in season and on pint. Can't say enough good things. View all feedback.
What amy m doesn't like about Belcampo Meat Co.:
Good burgers but come on! this place is ridiculously priced.. $18 for half pound organic burger and fries. For this price I expect to be completely impressed by a burger.. the kind of impressed where you would travel several miles to enjoy because the bread is freshly baked and the meat is just so damn flavorful. 2 stars for food, 1 star for service which was friendly and attentive. Belcampo is a meat market. We like Belcampo's heritage pork. When driving through Larksbur we often stop to purchase meat. The menu is either extensive or limited based on your perspective. We like the butcher to table entreé. You pay $20 for a salad and one side plus the stated meat market price. We had a kale and bacon salad along with crispy broccolini. The salad and side were huge and flavorful. Staff, server and manager were all very helpful. We recommend you give Belcampo a try.
OMG! The burgers and Brussels!!! Seriously the best burger in Marin. I'm still dreaming of the lamb burger with the black garlic aioli. The classic burger with the dry aged beef was insanely good too but I'm #1 with lamb. **** Mary was on point and service was killer. Plan on returning to get the beef tallow fries. Plus, their sustainable practices are key to the deliciousness. This is quality! Stop by the fresh meat case for take home meats and local goodies. I got a Marin kombucha and it was sooooo good. And lots of parking makes it easy. Could also walk over from ferry if visiting from SF.
The beef fat fries were hot and deliciously crispy, just the way they should be, bursting with rich beefy flavors—absolutely yum! I also tasted the lamb burger, which had a distinct gamey flavor that some might find off-putting, but as a lamb lover, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Oftentimes, lamb burgers are overpowered by condiments to mask the gaminess, but this one had just a few sprouts, which was perfectly fine. The lamb itself was potent and reminded me of enjoying plain lamb kabobs. Kudos to the chef! This was my first visit to the Larkspur location, and I will definitely be back. Next time, I'm planning to shop for some butchered meat as well!
Recommendations? Definitely any of the burgers paired with either duck fat fries or Tallon fries—trust me, you'll be grateful you did! If you're feeling a bit guilty about indulging in the meat, I suggest sharing a salad. I also visited with my girlfriend's parents, who adhere to a strict keto diet, and they found plenty of options, including burgers! Just ask if you have any dietary restrictions. And when you walk in, make sure to tell them you know Miguel E!
