Contribute FeedbackMyrtle's on the Bay in Lark Harbour, Newfoundland offers a mixed dining experience. While some visitors were disappointed with the lack of fresh seafood options, slow service, and subpar chowder, others raved about the generous portions and friendly service. The outdoor deck overlooking the bay provides a picturesque setting, and the family-owned business aims to cater to both locals and tourists. Overall, Myrtle's on the Bay has potential for improvement, with visitors recommending the restaurant for its friendly atmosphere, fresh mussels, and delicious fish and chips. With a bit of work, Myrtle's could become a must-visit spot for food and fun in Lark Harbour.
While travelling Newfoundland we were fortunate enough to visit the little town of Lark Harbour and spend some time at Myrtles. The owners Betty and Kenny were wonderful hosts and shared with us some tips for touring the area. She was originally from the area and has lived in Ontario for a long time but missed home so decided to open their place. We could certainly see why while sitting on their deck overlooking the Harbour. They have some great pub food on the menu and shared some samples with us. There is also dart boards, a pool table, and gaming machines. We hope to return one day and Myrtles will definitely be a stop for us!
Spent a night at Myrtles on the Bay in Lark Harbour Newfoundland. You are a stranger for the 5 seconds it takes to walk in - then friends after that! A strong recommendation if you plan a visit Lark Harbour way! Say hi to Betty and Kenny! John & Sarah Toronto
Came across this quaint, little place while out for a drive, so went in & had a beer. Turns out gal who runs it is a teacher who lives not far from us in Ontario......very clean & pleasant with pub food & attracts serious dart players 3 nights a week.
Stopped in for a drink- the owner and family welcomed us warmly and joined us for a few moments on their lovely new deck along the water. She even offered us tips about a few trails in the area. We were then given a complimentary snack to try. They should think of posting a sign on the road that says they are "just around the corner" as we noticed quite a few vehicles had stopped at the previous restaurant (it is a dead end road)
What a great spot! Amazing experience with great authentic food. The staff and service was fantastic.
