Village Inn - Largo

Everything about this restaurant is fantastic—service, food, and atmosphere. We absolutely love it! My friend mentioned wanting a strawberry robe cake, so we enjoyed a wonderful meal and then went to the cashier to get a Take-Home Pie. When we returned and cut into the cake, we discovered it was mixed berry instead! Now we have an excuse to come back. Thank you!

Looking for a cozy little diner? That’s about all it takes. We’ve eaten here a few times, and while there's nothing extraordinary, the food and service are decent. My husband ordered the all-you-can-eat fish on Friday and said the first plate rated about 2 stars, but the second round was hot, spicy, and definitely a solid 4 stars. I opted for the Pick-4 breakfast, which was an easy way to ensure a gluten-free meal. The dishes were small, made up of various components, but I finally narrowed it down to four. We had a full view of everything going on and noticed that none of the staff seemed particularly busy or engaged with the customers. Overall, it’s just okay and remains so.

The staff is amazing, and the food is delicious, cooked exactly to our specifications. Our waitress, whose name I can't recall, is an older lady who is about 4'10". She remembered us from last year, which was fantastic since we are only visiting for a week in July.

Thursday, not busy. Super friendly server. I have the special thing that day, beef cake and soup. Soup was good, but it was more taste than a cup. So small. Pot pie had only the top crust as most places. I prefer more like a cake. But well tasted. French silk cake for dessert, it was good, but rich, basic cake crust. Good price for lunch.

First time in Florida for two and a half years, so had to have breakfast out on our first morning at one of our favourite places. Always a warm and genuine welcome. The menu has all our favourites plus some new combinations and deals. Good coffee and orange juice obviously. Prices are competitive and quality of food is high all expertly cooked. We'll be back before return to the UK and will buy a pie to eat before we go. Totally recommended.
