The bartenders will let their friends skip the long line without a second thought. If you're just popping in, expect to be treated poorly and even scolded. The level of unprofessionalism is astonishing. Additionally, they have a $20 minimum for card payments, and if you're unaware of this policy, the bartenders will make snide comments about it.
