We enjoy their breakfast/brunch menu. All food is made fresh so food wait times are a bit longer but well worth it. The restaurant is short staffed like the whole world is it the moment. Yet, the staff works very well as a team and help each other out. They seem to enjoy their jobs and makes for good customer service. View all feedback.
What J Physo doesn't like about Marla:
Portions are small and pricy. Food is bland and not much seasoning. I appreciate the attempt to create something different and unique for Laredo though but I noticed the majority of people left food at the table as if they didn't like the food. Can't help but think that this place needs major improvements with portion sizes and seasoning. View all feedback.
Trying it for the first time. The chocolate Abuela is to die for! Biscuits are also a must. The picadillo is phenomenal the perfect blend of garlic and spices. The only not so great thing were the refried beans they needed a lot of salt.Other than that, this was definitely a positive experience. otherr mentioned a long wait to get in or for food but we experienced none of that. We went on a Sunday morning when you typically see these places crowded.
We went in a Sunday and did not experience the long wait for food or to be seated. The Mexican hot chocolate is to die for. They add Mexican marshmallows and it gives it this amazing flavor. I tried a biscuit and it was delicious The star of the show in my opinion was the picadillo. Perfect blend of spices, garlic etc.
This was a really great experience. I go the Marla in México and the difference is huge! Its like a whole other place. And the food is delicious. Great service.
1st Time here. Visiting my Mother for her Birthday so she wanted to Go to her favorite restaurant Marla's, here in Laredo, Tx. Real Fancy Danzy, and Really Clean place. Food Plate Presentation is Beautiful with no sloppiness. Food was good and tasty. The only complaint I have is there prices and they need more menu choices. But I will be back.
