What User doesn't like about The Kitchen:
1.11.2022 Lunch withhak dry and branches, potatoes. It appeared that the pancakes were taken from the package and a little shown to them. I’ve spent a lot of lunch and this was an absolute baseline. The salads were moderate, although partly the bowls were scr.ed. Dine in Meal Type: Lunch.
Modern looking place with lots of air, overall even seemed a bit naked, like the place near empty on a Saturday in January. The food was very good when a touch was traditional. There weren't too many fresh ideas on the record I could see. But a classic is well done to have a nice thing. Very good wine selection, with staff well on board with recommendations. Otherwise also very good and fast service.
My partner and I had dinner in the kitchen when visiting relatives in Lappeenranta. We were welcomed by friendly staff who helped us with food and drinks all night. We stayed three hours, consumed starters, nets, desserts, beers and cocktails and left us happy and satisfied with all the experiences. I was particularly impressed by the cooking of the steak I have rarely ordered, and some extraordinary decisions were offered in the later order of whisky. If we're here and I can't wait to bring more people, we can try the special menu of the boss!
This restaurant is located between the new shopping center and the pedestrian areas of Lappeenranta. In other words, it is not an obvious place to find and visit. The restaurant is quite large and is run by a restaurant chain in the city. For the calculated price it is no wonder that the chain restaurant has survived in Lappeenranta. There are two other restaurants with abstention types of food, but they are all quite overpriced. The payment of a price is not only about the experience of tasting good food, but also about the experience and the environment. On this occasion I visited the restaurant in a table of four, including a child. The waiters did not make it where we were sitting, and that later caused problems with loud and rudering customers nearby. So before we started eating the food, the experience was uncarried. This is often a problem with Finnish waiters, but in other restaurants where the price tag is as high as this restaurant, the waiters are usually trained. In this restaurant, every employee could have done the job without know-how in customer service. I could write more about the bad experience, but I come to the point about the food. Overpriced is an understatement. We decided to share two starters. Beetroot court. There was a mixture of cut beet root and chips. Not impressive. The presentation was in a bowl, and I'm not exactly sure how they expect people to eat it. Bad culinary skills shown. We also had a cheese board. The last time I had one for a star was in Warsaw, and I had so much of it, I thought I would never eat cheese again. On this occasion it was good, although there was also a sauce, although only half a place was, who knows what that was. We had two fish eaters, a steak and a vegetable burger. The steak was well cooked and was satisfactory despite the 33eur brand. There is no information about what kind of steak it comes from, and it was the most expensive main dish, about 10eur! The fish share for the child was equal to the adult. The skin on the salmon was still on it, so again bad cooking qualities were in the children's menu. The adult version had a beautiful orange sauce and was satisfactory. The Vege Brenner was 20e, from smoked tofu (from the store), big mushroom, in a burger with 5 different sauces in that they never have the same bite. This may be nice for an Easter who is an adventurer, but it would have been nice to confirm at least the last bite of the taste palette. The worst were the potatoes that were thought of as pommes. Again, poor quality of frozen foods, as there were hardly any potatoes, and only the skin penetrated in oil. Also this simple dish, the kitchen couldn't do it right. Both the waiters and the thing are good to give both sets of cutlery at the beginning when the tables are not so clean and there are fabric napkins that occasionally go into the lap. The hygienic consideration by management requires a reality check on the needs of customers and focuses not only on the practical aspects for the comfort of the staff. We didn't stay for deserts, but we wanted to order a drink between starter and main course, but the drinks came to the main dish. In summary, this is a restaurant that is rated over price and more attention to the needs of customers and better quality food. I wouldn't make it pay the price, but the staff must offer a kind of service and think about table arrangements if loud neighbor customers. In this way, I left the impression that the place is a competition.
Very nice place in heart of Lappeenranta. U can choose lunch for 10 or 13 €. There were bolonjeza, fish and chicken for main meal, soup, big variation of salads. Drink: coffee, tea, sparkling water, soda. Food was very tasty, place very comfortable and cozy. I will get there again.
