Subway - Laplace
Subway
Description
At this highway truck-stop restaurant experiences are mixed: fuel pumps are often unreliable, and some customers report subpar fast-food — notably a poor tuna sandwich and off bread — while payment and service can be rushed or inattentive (staff texting, long waits at night). Other visitors praise consistently friendly employees. Expect a basic truck-stop atmosphere with variable food and service; motorists should verify fuel availability before relying on this stop.

Your experience may depend on whether the woman is busy texting on her phone, as it seems to take precedence over attending to her job duties.
Arrived at 10 PM sharp, only to be told by a Subway employee that they wouldn’t make sandwiches for another 30 minutes due to a shift change. Thirty minutes just for one person to clock out and another to clock in, and to count the cash drawer? This franchise location shows a remarkable lack of organization. It definitely doesn’t reflect well on the owners.
I am usually a loyal Subway customer, but this time I had the worst tuna sandwich I've ever had. The bread didn’t taste like the usual Subway bread, and the tuna had a terrible smell. To make matters worse, the cashier processed my card before finishing my order and then left the counter to go outside without waiting for the transaction to complete. It was a really disappointing experience. This occurred on August 29, 2022, at 7:25 PM.
This is the worst truck stop I’ve ever been to—I'm serious. Half of the fuel pumps were out of service, and the ones that were working barely functioned at all. Although they sell Pilot fuel, it’s definitely not on par with a true Pilot stop. I suggest looking for fuel elsewhere.
