Such a unique place to visit. The artifacts inside found by scuba divers are interesting. The women inside are very informative. I love going there and just sitting along the side walk and watching the freighters go by, and hearing one of the ladies pop up on the audio system explaining all the details and information about the boats passing by. Plus they have farmers markets in the parking lot with all of great good... View all feedback.
What Kelly R doesn't like about Great Lakes Maritime Center:
Going down hill fast. Weeds, dirty tables/tents, and trash cans are overflowing every time we have visited this summer. Lots of unattended kids roaming and swimming unattended. Seems like the city has let this place go. No longer are there food trucks, no ice cream and we did not see any Porta potty. View all feedback.
Love going there. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. Love it.
Most of the people I have met here including the owner are very nice and I adore you ladies gentlemen reminesing stories thankful for teaching us about the freighters too. Thank you for complimentary coffee on Thurs, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Vantage Point Farmers Market is a great spot to find local vendors on Saturday mornings. And keep your eyes open for a passing freighter!
I've enjoyed thos boatyard since I was young. The Acheson Ventures work has really given the boatyard feel back to Black River
