Every year, we travel to Lansing, and in my opinion, this is one of the best places to eat. The service is attentive and friendly. If you enjoy seafood, I highly recommend trying the cedar plank salmon! The restaurant also has a great selection of drinks, including craft beer. When dining on the terrace, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Capitol building at night. I'll be sure to post a photo! View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Tavern And Tap:
Service, atmosphere, and food presentation was great. The food taste and preparation was subpar. Mimosas are premixed, meaning they're flat. Blueberry pancakes had few blueberries and were burnt on the bottom. The smoked salmon eggs benedict had too many flavors that didn't jive, the eggs were medium boiled not poached, and the muffin was hardly toasted. This restaurant in downtown Lansing is just a short walk from the capital and the Lansing Center. The service, food, and atmosphere were all excellent!
I recently dined at a restaurant with a fantastic location in the city. The ambiance inside was wonderfully quiet, making it easy to relax and enjoy a meal. The bathrooms were clean, and the food was delicious. However, the service was a bit lackluster. My order included a few items that I had specifically requested to be left off my sandwich, but I decided not to make a fuss about it. I simply set the unwanted items neatly on my plate, and it seemed the server noticed, although I didn't feel the need to say anything. Strangely, that was the only interaction we had during our hour there. After a while, when I had finished eating, I managed to catch the server's attention to request some takeout boxes. Overall, the dining atmosphere was enjoyable, and the prices were reasonable!
I stopped by for a quick lunch and opted for a cup of tomato bisque. It was surprisingly delicious! Next time, I’ll definitely go for the bowl!
